  • Design and implement plans for three different courses: A.P. U.S. Government and Politics, American Government, Global Themes.
  • Teach A.P. U.S. Government and Politics to 11th and 12th graders for ten consecutive years with an average of 95%of students passing and 50% of students achieving 5s.
  • Launched the "We the People ... the Citizen and the Constitution" program at the school in 2015.

- First place at the state competition in 2021

- First place at the state competition and fifth place at the national finals in 2020.

- Second place in the state and competed at the national level in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

  • Differentiate instruction to students in an American Government class co-taught with a special education teacher for six consecutive years.
  • Selected by the League of Women Voters to train at Harvard Business School in the High School Case Study Method and currently utilize the method in A.P. U.S. Government and Politics classes.
  • Served on the NEASC steering committee for the decennial self-study and visit.
  • Nominated for Westport Teacher of the Year in 2018.

  • Taught five heterogeneous sections of global studies/world culture to 110 seventh grade students.
  • Developed lesson plans for a multi-text curriculum that included units on the Northwest Native Americans, Russia and the former Soviet republics, Vietnam and Japan.
