To promote understanding and appreciation of civics and good citizenship by an essay contest for District of Columbia fifth grade students culminating in a private Award Ceremony and Reception at the U.S. Supreme Court

YMCA Michigan Youth in Government
To promote learning about government by high school students in Saginaw County, Michigan, by funding two high school’s involvement in the YMCA Michigan Youth in Government Program
9. The Ingham County Bar Auxiliary/Sue Patterson
The Probate Court Family Division staff who volunteer with the Child Benefit Fund.
This year 20 children were "adopted" by ICBA members who fulfilled their Christmas Wish List. A contribution made by ICBA also meets special needs of children for camp scholarships and school supplies. This year ICBA also supported Highfields, an organization that supports families in crisis. The donation was directed to the educational sponsorship of youth who find this supportive organization a way to separate themselves from a destructive lifestyle.
A total of $5,000 was awarded through the ALA Auxiliary Support Program!
