District Instructor for the Introduction to Political and Legal Experiences course


  • Developed curriculum to immerse students in Civics and Law
  • Prepared students for Virtual N.J. and National We the People competitions (we placed 2nd in N.J. this year and earned an invitation to Nationals)
  • Organized speaker event through The New Jersey Courts on Careers in NJ Courts: Making a Difference Program
  • Organized speaker event through The New Jersey Courts on New Jersey Criminal Justice Reform.
  • Facilitated a volunteer opportunity for a student to participate on the Juvenile Conference Committee.
  • Arranged speaking events for students to interact with legal professionals through the N.J. State Bar Foundation.
  • Developed units in Criminal and Civil Law using material from the StreetLaw program.

Teacher of Advanced Placement United States Government 


  • Created a unit on The Judiciary that required students to write briefs for this year's Harlan Institute-Ashbrook Virtual Supreme Court Competition.
  • Instructed students on how to write an effective legal brief including Bluebook style citations.
  • Coached students through oral argument sessions to practice for our class competition.
  • Entered our top student teams into the Harlan Institute-Ashbrook Virtual Supreme Court Competition.
  • Prepare students for the Advanced Placement Exam
  • Created interactive units on topics such as gerrymandering, incorporation of the Bill of Rights, Executive power and federalism.
  • Helped students to develop the skills necessary to successfully write answers to Free Response Questions.
  • Provided feedback on drafts to be entered into the We the Students Essay contest.


Coordinator Washington Seminar 


Organized an immersive 5-day experience in Washington D.C. for approximately 100 students in the 11th grade. (In the process of organizing for this year a three-day virtual experience for approximately 80 students in the 11th grade that will feature speakers from the DEA. ATF, Wounded Warrior Project, Customs and Border Patrol, the State Department and the Secret Service.)
